This is a new lapped panel fence replacement in Reigate. The old fence was in bad condition and could not be repaired. This was explained to the homeowner and they were happy for a new fence to be installed. The old fence was taken out and some bushes removed as well. A 8 yard skip was used as there was around 20 panels, 20 fence posts ,old concrete from existing fence posts to dispose off. The old fence holes in the ground were able to be used as the new lapped fence panels were 6ft by 6ft, same as old fence was originally. New 8ft brown pressure treated 4 x4 timber fence posts were concreted into position and levelled up to a builders line from starting point to corner of garden so fence would be aligned. New 6ft x 6ft lapped fence panels were screwed into position. Fence was complete and area cleaned up with skip taken away from property.
The end result was a new lapped fence that was cost effective.
I would always recommend to paint or spray a new lapped fence to give the wood All Weather Protection.
